Geographical Situation
A few interesting facts:
The Osa Peninsula includes the largest rainforest, the biggest trees, the largest mangrove, and the largest number of macaws in all of Central America. The Peninsula is a natural treasure where fifty percent of all animal and plant species in the country can be found. And this despite the fact that the Osa Peninsula makes up only 3% of Costa Rica’s landmass.
The Golfo Dulce, whose calm, warm waters border the property, is one of only four tropical fjords in the world. It is the only place on earth where humpback whales from the northern and southern hemispheres give birth.
Climate
There are two seasons in the Osa Peninsula: a dry season from December to April and a humid season during the rest of the year. The average temperature is 28°C (82.4°F)
